PBC Bible Conference Day 1

What an amazing night last night. We had the opportunity to lead worship for the dear folks at PBC, but we also got the opportunity to sit under some wonderful preaching. Josh Buice for Cornerstone Baptist Church in McMinnville, TN preaching an outstanding message on church discipline, and as if that wasn't enough, we were priveledged to hear from Dr. Bill Cook. It is amazing how Dr. Cook is able to take a passage of Scripture that you have read many, many times before and open your eyes to what the Holy Spirit has intended in the text. He preached a very challenging message on being a Jesus-Driven church. Thank you men for teaching us last last night.

We still have one more night, featuring more outstanding preaching with David Crowe and Dr. Hershael York, so if you are in the area, come out and join us!! Worship begins at 6:00pm!!

Busy Times

These are busy times for those of us in Sola Grace. Until this past Sunday, we had only sang one or two times together this year. Sunday was a whirlwind day but a very good day! We were privileged to sing at Saloma Baptist Church in Campbellsville, KY on Sunday afternoon. We had a great time with Dr. John Chowning and the great folks over there. They celebrated their 58th anniversary as a congregation. We pray that they have many more years of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Taylor County!

On Sunday night, we drove over to Danville, KY to lead worship at Immanuel Baptist Church (where I serve). We had a good time doing what we love to do. Enjoying God and leading others to do the same. I love IBC very much and I am so thankful they let me travel like this from time to time. It was a sweet evening for me.

Next Monday & Tuesday we are leading worship at Pioneer Baptist Church's Bible Conference featuring some very fine preaching. Make plans to join us Monday at 6pm!

Home from a land far, far away...

Hey guys, it has been a long time since anyone has posted, and with the addition of facebook, and the infrequency of our posts I am sure no one really reads this much anymore, but I thought I would post anyway.

I just returned back to Kentucky after spending about a week and a half in Poland on a mission trip with our church. I am amazed at how God blessed our time there. We were able to share the gospel on several occasions, and able to build some relationships that the missionaries on the field will hopefully be able to continue. We spent the majority of our time in Krakow, where our primary task was to engage people and help them with their English. We spent a couple of days in the University in English classes doing conversational English, and even got to go into a middle school and high school one day and teach all of their English classes. Even though we didn't get to share the message of the gospel in this setting, it was a huge success, because we were able to open a door for the missionaries on the field to continue their relationship with the school, and they were basically given an open invitation to come back anytime.

We also got the opportunity to travel to Glogow, which is another city in Poland where Andrew and Corrie (my pastor and his wife) lived for two years. We worked with the Baptist church there and did several different things from speaking to painting a fence. The hospitality of the people there was amazing, and they treated us like royalty.

Poland is a country that is 99.9 percent Catholic, and most are not practicing Catholics at that. It is a place of great spiritual darkness, and a place where the people desperately need to hear the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Please pray that God would reveal himself to the people there, and pray for the believers that are there as they attempt to reach them with the truth.
